Serial stories, part by part

New writers publish ongoing stories one পর্ব (part) at a time. Read the latest, and the app remembers where you were in each one.

Every genre

Love and romance, horror, mystery and thriller, and science fiction — browse by genre and follow the stories you want to keep reading.

Classics, chapter by chapter

Alongside new writing, classic Bangla novels by Sarat Chandra, Bankim Chandra, Bibhutibhushan and others, arranged chapter by chapter.

Notifications & offline reading

Follow a story and get a notification when a new part is published. Download the whole story to read with no connection.

A home for new writers

Writers publish and manage their own serial stories from the app, building a following part by part.

Free, with ads

Unlike the others, Golpoghor is ad-supported and rated 18+: it uses Firebase (analytics, crashlytics, notifications) and shows AdMob ads, with a consent prompt in the EEA/UK.

Why it exists

Bangla serial fiction has a big, devoted audience, mostly scattered across Facebook groups and screenshots. Golpoghor gives it a proper home: a place where new writers publish ongoing stories part by part, readers follow the ones they love and get told when the next part drops, and the classics sit alongside the new writing.

It is the one app here that isn’t ad-free or privacy-minimal: it’s a free, ad-supported reading platform with a server behind it, and it’s rated 18+ for mature themes in some of the stories.

Who it’s for

Adult Bangla readers (18+) who follow serial stories — romance, horror, thriller, sci-fi — want notifications for new parts, offline reading, and classic novels too.

In the app

How it’s built

A Flutter app with GetX for state, reading and caching parts in a local SQLite database so followed stories stay available offline. A FastAPI backend holds the stories, parts, and writer accounts and serves the app and a web admin.

Firebase handles writer sign-in, push notifications for new parts, analytics, and crash reporting; AdMob serves the ads, behind Google’s consent prompt for readers in the EEA and UK. So unlike the rest of the lineup, Golpoghor does collect usage data and show ads — stated plainly on its Play listing and here.
