Why it exists
A lot of prescribing happens away from a computer — chamber work, hospital rounds, field visits. Medic puts the prescription pad and the medicine directory in one Android workspace built around how doctors in Bangladesh actually write.
It is intended for qualified medical professionals. The app is a tool for writing and managing prescriptions, not a source of medical advice.

How it’s built
Flutter with GetX for state and dependency injection, over a local SQLite database. Prescriptions, the doctor profile, and favourite drugs all live on the device, so those keep working with no signal.
Drug information comes from Bangladesh’s MedEx directory: the app fetches brand and generic listings on demand and caches each response in SQLite for a day, so repeat lookups are instant and drugs you’ve already seen still resolve offline. Brands and generics are modelled separately, which makes brand-to-generic lookup and the reverse both cheap. Saved prescriptions can be reopened, edited, and shared as a formatted sheet.
