Why it exists

Paper khata works until it doesn’t — lost pages, unclear dues, no backup. MiniPOS is the same habit in digital form: record sales, purchases, and বাকি at the counter, in a rush, without an internet connection.

The positioning is deliberate. It is the easiest offline cashbook and due tracker, not an inventory system — tea stalls, grocery shops, tailors, pharmacies, and wholesalers who need the ledger, not a full POS.

Small shops in Bangladesh and similar markets replacing paper khata.

How it’s built

Flutter with Drift over SQLite, offline-first as a hard rule: every feature works with no connection, and the phone is the source of truth. There is no BuildByRain server holding shop data.

Backup is optional and goes to the shop owner’s own Google Drive — manual or a daily automatic job — plus CSV and database export through the share sheet for anyone who wants their records without an account. Restoring onto a new phone is one tap.
